1. How do I make my reservation?
After you have made your initial booking inquiry your online reservation will be held for 5 business days.Your reservation will only be secure once paid in full.
2. Can I make partial payment?
Yes for bookings made well in advance partial payment is available for US citizens only by wire transfer or direct deposit in US bank account.We accept a 50% down payment and the balance 45 days prior to your event date.
3. Can I make partial payment via credit card?
No, partial payment is only accepted by direct deposit, however Yoga retreats website offers you the option to make full payment online and sometimes promotions are offered for payment in advance
4. What sort of documentation do I need to travel to Brazil?
a)If you are a US citizen you will need a valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of entry into Brasil.A US passport application can be obtained at www.passportsandvisas.com or call the toll free number 1.800.860.8610
b) If you are part of the European community you need a valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from date of entry into Brasil.
5. When I apply for my Brazilian Visa ,what Brazilian address should I use?
Please contact us as this depends on your chosen retreat location.
6. Which airport should I fly into?
A) For Bahia Yoga Retreat - Porto Seguro International airport (BPS)
B) For Rio de Janeiro - Galeao International airport (GIG)
C) For Florianopolis/Santa Catarina - Hercilio Luz international airport (FLN)
7. What should I do once I arrive at the airport?
You will be greeted by a staff member that will hold a name tag of the passenger.You will then be transported to your destination by van/private airconditioned transportation to your retreat. Upon booking details you will receive enroute details and length of times to your chosen Yoga Retreat destination.
8. Do I need to pay for Transportation?
Transportation fees and return airport transfers are included as part of your package. Additional transfers such as ferries or boats are also included.If you would like to offer a gratuity to the driver you are welcome .
9. What happens if I miss my Transfer?
If your flight was delayed and you missed your transfer Yoga retreat is not held responsible for the additional costs incurred for transportation.Usually international flights come in on a daily basis so when you come in on the next flight we will have a car waiting for you at the airport ,however the cost is for the passenger. Transport fees cost USD$150 one way.If you are coming in from a local flight please call us immediately on: 21 7822 5016 so we can make arrangements for your transportation.To make a call from the international airport you must visit the information booth and ask to purchase a calling card.This costs around $2.
10. If I am already in Rio/Porto Seguro/Florianopolis will you still pick me up?
Yes we will arrrange transportation to bring you to our retreat and will pick you up from your hotel.
11. Do I need travel insurance?
Yes it is advisable that you get travel insurance for eventual emergencies.You may check this with your travel agent.
12. What do I need to bring?
You should bring your Yoga Mat and props, a few hand towels or face towels for adjusts.Comfortable light clothing and shoes for hiking and trails,swimwear and some of our retreats get a little cold at night so bring some sweaters as well.
It is advisable to make your reservations as early as possible to secure your space. Upon initial inquiry a pre-reservation is made and will be held for 48 hrs. Your reservation is secure and guaranteed once we receive your payment in full Prices do not include airfare and we strongly urge you to confirm availability prior to purchasing your airline ticket. MasterCard, Visa, checks, and money orders are accepted. For US based customers please make payments online.
Deposits & Payments
After your initial inquiry for availability via e.mail a $150 non refundable deposit may reserve your space but is not a guarantee. Payment must be paid in full by the 10th day after receipt of confirmation or your reservation will be given to another customer and your deposit will be void to cover administrative costs. Yoga retreats in Brazil fill up fast and often up to one year in advance. Please refer to cancellation policy for any changes or cancellations. After payment has been received you will be notified by e-mail and confirmed via e-mail and any additional information necessary prior to your departure will be e-mailed to you.We do not send out any brochures or application forms by regular postage all is done online.
Travel and Flight Policies
Please book your flights to and from the allocated airports specified on our FAQ page.Ground Transportation will be provided to you upon arrival and travellers must arrive between specified times established after booking your Yoga retreat location. For airport transfers not within specified hours will be subject to a $150 fee. If you miss the transportation that is provided for you for any reason including flight delays, earlier or later departure, etc... ground transportation via shuttle or taxi will be at your own expense. Final booking of your flight is not required before your registration.
We do not offer cash or credit card refunds. For last minute cancelations(Less than 30 days prior to start date of your retreat) or late arrivals or if you need to leave Yoga retreat Brazil early there is no partial refund. If you cancel your reservation all together 30 days prior to start date of your retreat, you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee from payments received and the remaining balance will be applied to another experience within one year of the start of your cancellation. Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason whatsoever, including personal injuries, political upheaval, natural disasters, emergencies or weather. If Yoga retreat must cancel any retreat date , all payments received will be refunded in full. Yoga retreat Brazil is not held responsible for expenses in preparation for any canceled trips due to a Spa/Retreat or Yoga retreat being canceled, such as airline ticket, flight cancellation, car rental, loss of work, travel delays, etc.
